Maurizio Sarri has done something in his first ten Premier League games as Chelsea manager that none of his predecessors have managed.
Chelsea have had several managers which were quick out the blocks at Stamford Bridge. Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti and Antonio Conte all won the Premier League title during their debut managers as Chelsea manager, but Sarri has achieved something even they didn’t.
Having defeated Burnley 4-0 at Turf Moor, Sarri extended his unbeaten run in the Premier League to ten games. No Chelsea manager has ever managed to avoid defeat in their opening ten games in England’s top tier.
Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea sides did it in both 2005/06 and 2014/15, but Sarri has only played ten league games in England and his yet to suffer a single defeat. That’s a first at this football club.
Hopefully Sarri can follow in Mourinho’s footsteps in both those seasons in winning the Premier League title. The competition this time is incredibly tough, but we have faith and Sarri and this squad.
