By the time Chelsea face Liverpool in six weeks, the Red’s may have been sweating on getting Sadio Mane fit for the game after his recent injury.
Mane, as reported by the Evening Standard, is out of action until the next six weeks, by which time Chelsea face Jurgen Klopp’s side. Their Premier League clash is scheduled for November 15.
Mane is certain to miss Premier League games against Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur ans well as a Champions League game against Sevilla.
Mane’s injury is a big blow to Klopp who will be without the Senegal international, who has scored three goals in five Premier League games this season.
Chelsea however, have injury concerns of their own after Alvaro Morata, N’Golo Kante and Danny Drinkwater are out injured.
Morata and Kante may well both be out until Chelsea’s Champions League clash with AS Roma in a fortnight and may certainly be ready for the game against Liverpool in six weeks, according to Physio Room.
Danny Drinkwater’s calf injury is a long term one, after arriving last summer from Leicester City, though Physio Room note he could return on October 14th.
Conte will remain hopeful Drinkwater will be present for our game against Palace next weekend.
