Former Chelsea left-back Graeme Le Saux thinks there is a ‘complicated environment’ at the club due to on and off the pitch decisions, the Standard reports.
The Blues put on a disastrous performance in the 3-0 defeat to AS Roma on Tuesday.
As per the Standard, Le Saux signalled out David Luiz and Cesar Azpilicueta as players who made silly mistakes in the Champions League tie. Whilst the Englishman also believes the sale of Nemanja Matic was a bad decision from the Premier League champions.
The Standard quotes Le Saux saying:
“When you overlay the constant rumours around the future of the manager with these errors, it all adds up to a complicated environment.”
This complicated environment has put a slight dent in Chelsea’s season so far. We are sitting nine points behind league leaders Manchester City in fourth place. However, a win against Qarabag would secure qualification to the knockout stages of the Champions League.
With a crucial match against Manchester United this Sunday, Antonio Conte’s men must turn this negative vibe around the club. A win against our former manager Jose Mourinho’s team would certainly do that.
