Alex Sandro to Chelsea is a done deal, according to former USA international Janusz Michallik, as reported by the Daily Star.
Michallik spent the bulk of his career in his home country, making 44 appearances for the USA national side, before announcing his retirement from football in 1998.
Nowadays, the Polish-born 51-year-old works as a pundit for ESPN, and he appears to have delivered some news that all Chelsea fans will be delighted to hear.
When discussing Sandro’s potential switch to Stamford Bridge, the Daily Star quote Michallik revealing:
“I think it’s a done deal. There’s some question marks for me at Chelsea. I love him, I have no idea why Juventus would get rid of him.”
If his information is correct, it is very exciting for everyone with any Chelsea affiliation. Sandro is widely considered one of the best full-backs in the world, and thus convincing him to leave Juventus in order to join the Premier League champions is a major statement from Antonio Conte.
The Daily Star believe that we are prepared to part with as much as £61M in order to secure Sandro’s services, which is the sort of fee you would expect in the current, inflated market.
