Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has revealed that he would welcome former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri to the Premier League.

It appears to be merely a matter of time before Sarri becomes Chelsea manager. Over the past days there has been continual circulation of reports in the media, both in England and Italy, suggesting that we have an agreement in place with the Italian to replace Antonio Conte.

There are still potential stumbling blocks, of course. Chelsea still need to agree a fee with Napoli to release Sarri from his contract, not to mention that, at the time of writing, Conte is still Chelsea manager.

By hook or by crook, Sarri will likely be leading us into the 2018/19 campaign, and Guardiola is excited to face him in the Premier League.

The former Barcelona manager, who smashed several Premier League records with Man City last term, has revealed his admiration for Sarri, as ESPN report:

“If he comes to England, it would be a pleasure. For somebody like me, who loves watching games at home on the sofa, Napoli are spectacular and his brand of football is a joy to watch.”

Are you looking forward to seeing what Sarri does with us, Blues? Or do you have concerns? Let us know in the comments.

I can’t wait for Sarri to arrive. After five years of José and Conte, it’s exactly what we need!
