Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea side are unbeaten in the Premier League, but the Italian is not entirely happy with the Blues’ performances.

Chelsea have surpassed expectations term and will be fighting Manchester City and Liverpool for the Premier League title. We have Sarri to thank for much of our success this campaign to date, but he recognises the need for improvement.

Chelsea have a weakness, anyone who has watched us this season will recognise this. It was most noticeable during our win over Arsenal, which could easily have gone the other way if their finishing was more tuned in.

Our defence has a flimsy side, and it’s there to be exploited by the opposition. Sarri recognises this, though insists that it’s the responsibility of the entire team to cement the cracks.

He’s quoted by Football London saying:

Has there ever been a Chelsea Premier League winning side with a defence as suspect as ours? We can’t recall one.

Our attack has the potential to be as potent as any in the league, but the defence is the foundation of the team and it’s not yet up to scratch. It’s good to see that Sarri is aware of the problem and is working on a solution.
