We have an update to bring you on the current condition of the Newcastle United squad ahead their clash with Chelsea this Sunday, thanks to Physio Room.
Newcastle are safe. The task for Rafa Benitez going into this campaign was simple, keep them up. Only then can the process to re-establish the Magpies as a competitive Premier League side can begin.
Benitez’s men are eight points clear of the drop zone heading into the final day. They’re tied with three other teams on 41-points, meaning they have a fight on their hands to secure a top-half finish.
They’ll undoubtedly be keen to finish strongly, and don’t have many injury issues to contend with – just the two!
Clark will be unavailable for this game, and as a result the remainder of the season. He’s expected to return from a knee injury at the start of June.
The former Chelsea man’s knee injury is a little more serious. He won’t return until the beginning of July.
