A graph produced by @SkySportsPL on Twitter shows just how inconsistent Chelsea have been this season under Maurizio Sarri.
Chelsea started the campaign with a lengthy unbeaten run. Despite Sarri not being in charge for the entirety of pre-season, he appeared to have successfully implemented at least some of his ‘Sarriball’ DNA into the Chelsea squad. Then it all changed.
After a bright start, Chelsea have continually faltered in the Premier League. We face an uphill battle to qualify for the Champions League, with Sarri having a fight on his hands if he wants to remain as Chelsea manager beyond the end of his debut season.
We know how inconsistent we’ve been, it’s the reason we’re not in contention for the title, but this graph produced by Sky Sports on Twitter gives us a clearer idea of just how much we have been yo-yoing over the course of the season. Have a look at this.
The title race has already had its twists and turns – who will come out on top?

It’s not good enough. A club like Chelsea should be fighting for the title year after year. When you consider that Antonio Conte won the title with this squad, even if it was an overachievement, Sarri needs to be doing better to justify him staying on.
