Victor Moses has commended Chelsea teammate on his exemplary work-ethic in the early stages of Maurizio Sarri’s reign.
Barkley was signed back in January, but struggled for fitness throughout the final five months of the season. The Englishman’s time as a Chelsea player didn’t really begin until he stepped through the doors at Cobham this summer.

After featuring frequently for Chelsea during pre-season, Barkley started in both of our opening Premier League games. However, he now looks at risk of falling out of favour.

With Mateo Kovacic now match-fit, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek not far behind, Barkley could find his route into the starting eleven obstructed.

If he gets his head down and works hard, though, his opportunities will come. If Victor Moses is to be believed, that’s exactly what Barkley is doing behind the scenes.

Moses is quoted the Chelsea website saying:

“Everyone has been good, everyone is working hard but I’d say Ross Barkley. He had a big injury but he’s started the season really well and he’s working his socks off.”

Keep going, Ross!
