A video has emerged of Maurizio Sarri apologising to a Chelsea supporter following our 4-0 loss to Bournemouth midweek. This is great stuff from the boss!
Chelsea’s loss to Bournemouth was inexcusable. Not only was it the biggest deficit we have lost by since Roman Abramovich bought the club back in 2003, but it was one of the most spineless performances that we have witnessed. It questions your faith in the team and the manager.
Many have turned on Sarri this week, as you may expect. He’s the man that picks the team. He’s the man responsible for motivating them and making it work, but he’s been failing to do so in recent weeks and months. It is unclear whether we will finish in the top four at this point.
One fan’s anger boiled over following our loss to the Cherries. A Chelsea supporter was caught on tape sharing his displeasure with the performance to Sarri himself outside of the stadium. Rather than walking away and getting on the bus, Sarri stopped and apologised to the fan.
Sarri: “I am so sorry. We will settle that. You are completely right”

This is really great to see. It shows that he understands what this club means to the fans and just how unacceptable performances like that are for a club of our stature. We have to keep the faith in him and trust that he’s the man to turn this around.
