Callum Hudson-Odoi was filmed showing his class at the end of Chelsea’s 3-0 victory over Malmo on Thursday evening.
Hudson-Odoi put in the kind of performance that we were all hoping to see from him, having finally been granted the opportunity to start a Chelsea game by manager Maurizio Sarri. A brilliant goal and further evidence that he can function out on the right-wing will do him no harm in terms of securing even more game time going forward.
We are all hoping that Sarri will take a chance on him for Sunday’s Carabao Cup final clash with Manchester City. Albeit unlikely, some fresh legs and an injection of energy would go some way to preventing a repeat of what happened at the Etihad. This is the chance for Sarri to show us all that he’s not as stubborn as he appears.
Irrespective of whether he gets to start on Sunday, Hudson-Odoi clearly enjoyed playing in front of the Stamford Bridge faithful against Malmo. That was clear to see as he handed over his shirt to a young fan at the end of the game, giving him a little hug as well. This is exactly what every young Blue will dream of, so fair play to CHO!
This is brilliant 👏
