Chelsea youngster Conor Gallagher is the latest name on everyone’s lips.

Whether you’re associated with his new loan club Charlton Athletic, or you’re an avid follower of the Chelsea academy, you’d have stood up and taken notice of the 19-year old’s emphatic start to the season.

It’s his first season in men’s football, and the midfielder has scored an incredible 3 goals in 4 starts so far this season, and that’s from midfield too remember. Quite the start.

It mirrors the success of Mason Mount and Reece James from last season, who are both now of course in the Chelsea first team.

Gallagher, if he continues this way, will find himself close on the tail of Mount in particular next season, especially with Frank Lampard in charge.

He’s another very impressive midfielder, and Chelsea are inundated with them right now. It makes you wonder how on earth we fit them all in?

Because surely, Gallagher is yet another talent who has to get an opportunity in the first team one day very soon.
