With ESPN reporting that Frank Lampard could be confirmed as Chelsea manager this week, we’ve considered three players who could benefit the most.

Callum Hudson-Odoi

Unlike Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Callum Hudson-Odoi was never able to fully establish himself as a starting player under Maurizio Sarri.

He threatened to do so, but an achilles injury derailed his good run of performances and the opportunities he was being given.

There is no doubt that Frank Lampard would use Hudson-Odoi at every opportunity. He will know his worth and maximise his potential.

Willian has survived four managerial changes during his time at Stamford Bridge, giving him a clean slate more than he’s deserved.

The Brazilian has regularly underperformed, yet remains at the club and is highly regarded by his teammates and the football world as a whole.

Predominantly due to the skewed, positive view those who don’t watch Chelsea regularly have of Willian, Lampard is likely to consider him indispensable.

Kurt Zouma

Kurt Zouma is a brilliant defender who needs a bit of faith and a chance to impress. Lampard is exactly the man to give him that.

Antonio Rudiger and David Luiz were a cemented centre-back pairing under Sarri, but that could all be set to change under Lampard.

Zouma has a fighting chance of forcing his way into the starting eleven under the Chelsea legend’s stewardship – and he’d be there to stay.
