After a slow start, things are getting really spicy in the transfer market for Chelsea.
The Blues are making moves, and different outlets are giving their different information on what’s going on. As ever, the Athletic have good sources and plenty of new information for us to digest.
Chelsea target two very different central defender options

Simon Johnson’s piece confirms that Chelsea are interested in Jacobo Ramon of Como. He’s a super talented, 21 year old from the Real Madrid academy.
Their Deal Sheet earlier in the work had claimed that the Blues “want a minimum of two ready-made players with experience of playing in the top five European leagues.”
Ramon has one year of playing in Serie A under his belt – it’s something, but it’s hardly a grizzled Premier League veteran. On that front, links to Maxence Lacroix make more sense. He’s had 6 seasons at the top level, two of them in the Premier League.
The next couple of weeks should be very interesting.
In other news…
Reece James looked a little limited last night for England, and we’re not surprised to hear that he may have picked up a minor injury. We hope this means a rest on Saturday night.
Jacobo Ramon is another Serie A defender who seems to be interesting the Blues, although they’re not as close to a deal for him.
