Barcelona are prepared to use a large chunk of the money they raise from the sale of Neymar on Chelsea winger Eden Hazard, according to The Sun.
As The Sun report, Neymar is on the verge of leaving Barcelona and joining Paris Saint-Germain, in a deal which the tabloid believe could be worth an eye-watering £198M.
That could prove to be bad news for Premier League champions Chelsea. The Sun claim that Barca are keen to re-invest that money in Hazard, who would very much be a like-for-like replacement for Neymar on the left-flank of Ernesto Valverde’s attack.
The Sun believe that the Catalan giants will test Chelsea’s resolve with a £100M bid. It remains to be seen whether that will be enough to tempt the Blues to cash-in.
If PSG are prepared to spend £199M on Neymar, as The Sun claim, then why should we allow them to poach Hazard for almost half the price? That, for me, makes no sense.
