Real Madrid

Real Madrid youngster Marco Asensio has provided an update on his situation at the Santiago Bernabeu amid links to both Chelsea and Manchester United.

Asensio is considered one of the world’s most exciting young players. He already has an impressive collection of stunning goals which he has bagged during his time with Los Blancos, continually showcasing his superb shooting ability on the biggest stages.

However, Zinedine Zidane has a plethora of midfield talent at his disposal. The likes of Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Isco and Gareth Bale have hoovered up much of Asensio’s game-time.

There have been suggestions that he could depart in order to further his career, but the Spaniard does not appear to be in any hurry to abandon ship.

Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio.

Asensio is quoted by Goal revealing that he has no intention of leaving Real Madrid for Chelsea, Man United or any other potential suitor:

“I always try with everything I have left.”

“To reach the biggest club in the world where there are millions of fans and a lot of pressure was a brutal change. My debut was in a final. I was not nervous, I scored a goal and I won my first title.”

“In all my debuts I’ve always been able to score goals and I have come to Madrid to stay and score many goals.”

Chelsea will have to look elsewhere in our pursuit of summer reinforcements.
