According to French outlet Le Parisien, Chelsea are in the market for 14-year-old Elye Wahi, who has been dubbed the new N’Golo Kante.
Kante joined Chelsea in the summer of 2015 and has scarcely put a foot wrong during his time at Stamford Bridge. One Kante is enough to win the midfield battle almost single-handedly, but it looks as though the club are keen to draft in another.
As per Le Parisien, the Blues are keen on adding promising Caen youngster Elye Wahi to their academy ranks. The 14-year-old bagged a brace against PSG’s U-17 side on Thursday, which doesn’t sound particularly Kante-esque, yet the comparison has been made even at this early stage of his career.
Chelsea’s youth side is already one of the best on the planet, and that is largely down to the club poaching the world’s most exciting talent from academies abroad. If Le Parisien are to be believed, Wahi could be next.
