Chelsea have reportedly made an offer to Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio, who has been considered as a potential summer replacement for Eden Hazard.
This particular report comes from Spanish outlet Diario Gol. They believe that Chelsea have made a proposal to Asensio which will be hard for the 22-year-old to reject.
The report claims that Asensio is open to the idea of moving to Stamford Bridge this summer, but is reluctant to rush into any decisions. The Spaniard wants to wait until the end of the World Cup before further evaluating his future and making a final decision.
Diario Gol believe that Asensio could be considered a replacement for Eden Hazard this summer. The Belgian is yet to put pen-to-paper on a new contract, but at the time of writing there are no concrete suggestions that he is looking to leave Chelsea. He, like Asensio, will be fully focused on the World Cup.
