- REVEALED: Golovin’s price-tag is lower than you may think
Reported Chelsea target Aleksandr Golovin is learning English amid rumours that he could be set for a move to the Premier League this summer, his father has confirmed.
Golovin has been linked with all of Arsenal, Manchester United and Juventus in recent weeks. Following his performance in Russia’s opening World Cup game against Saudi Arabia, Chelsea were added to the list of interested parties.
The 22-year-old is expected to depart CSKA Moscow this summer, the only question mark remaining is who his next employers will be. We hope that Roman Abramovich’s ties to the Russian Premier League will give us a leg-up in the race to sign him.
We may be able to rule Juventus out of the race once and for all. Massimiliano Allegri’s men were considered the frontrunners to sign him, but that does no longer appear to be the case.
Golovin’s father is quoted by the Manchester Evening Standard revealing his belief that his son has started learning English:
“I know that Sasha has already started learning English.”
A Premier League move appears to beckon…
