Chelsea are reportedly open to the possibility of seeing Mario Pasalic depart on a permanent basis this summer.
Pasalic was incredibly promising as a youngster at Hajduk Split. He enjoyed good periods out on-loan with all of Elche, AS Monaco, AC Milan and Spartak Moscow, but at none of the aforementioned clubs did he prove he is, or ever could be, Chelsea quality.
The Croatian has never so much as been close to breaking into the Chelsea first-team squad, and it doesn’t look as though he’ll ever be provided with an opportunity to do so.
According to Italian outlet La Nazione, Fiorentina are interested in signing Pasalic from Chelsea this summer. The Blues are thought to be unimpressed with his progress and thus could allow him to leave.
The report mentions an initial loan deal with an option to buy at the end of the 2018/19 campaign for a fee in the region of €9M. Would that be good business, Blues?
