Could Chelsea lose goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois… for free?
It sounds ridiculous, but The Sun claim that it is a very real possibility.
As mentioned in the report, Courtois has just 18 months remaining on his deal with the Premier League champions. It is a very uncertain situation, and one that’ll no doubt be keeping the Chelsea faithful up at night.
Courtois is one of the best goalkeepers on the planet, losing him without having a viable replacement lined up would be nothing short of disastrous. Watching him leave and not receiving a penny in return – is just unthinkable.

However, according to The Sun, Chelsea are prepared to watch Courtois walk out of the door at the end of his contract and have no interest in cashing-in on him during the summer of 2018.
The Sun believe that Real Madrid are interested in signing Courtois, and contract talks between himself and Chelsea are currently at a standstill.
We eagerly await further, hopefully more positive news, on this precarious situation.
