Reported Chelsea target Sergey Milinkovic-Savic has failed to report back to Lazio’s training ground to undergo medical tests.
It’s the stage of the transfer window where we’ll absolutely be reading too far into everything. That’s what desperation does to you!
Reports in Italy claim that Chelsea are set to offer €115M for Milinkovic-Savic. That’d smash the club-record fee we spent on Alvaro Morata last summer.
As unlikely as it is that will actually happen, reports of that nature coinciding with the Serb going AWOL are going to lead to many putting two and two together.
It’s also claimed that both Real Madrid and Manchester United have withdrawn their interest in signing Milinkovic-Savic, leaving Chelsea alone in the race to sign him.
If the Italian press have got their info right, we could see this deal accelerate in the coming days.
Don’t hold your breath, though, hell would freeze over the day that we spend €115M on a player.
