Alvaro Morata has not been much help to Chelsea on the pitch in recent weeks, but it looks as though our club-record signing is earning his keep off of it.
Morata has come under intense criticism from the Chelsea faithful for his dire performances recently. He has been struggling to not only find the back of the opponent’s net, but even stay on his own two feet. One might say that his recent showings have been Fernando Torres-esque.
However, if Don Balon are to be believed, he isn’t being entirely unproductive. The Spanish outlet claim that Morata is looking to give Chelsea a leg-up in the race to sign Real Madrid midfielder Isco by looking for a house for his compatriot in London.
It’s believed that Morata and Isco are close friends, and the former his close to convincing his former Real Madrid teammate to follow his footsteps and make the move to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
Don Balon are not renown for their reliability, but let’s hope that this report has some truth to it.
