Reported Chelsea target Radja Nainggolan is thought to be house-hunting… in Milan.
As we reported on Tuesday, Chelsea had been quoted a realistic asking price for Nainggolan. However, there was a potentially considerable stumbling block.
Nainggolan is 30-years-old, meaning we could only offer him a rolling one-year contract. We could splash £35M on the Belgian and watch him leave on a free just a year later.
The move wouldn’t make sense, which is why it’s not necessarily bad news that he appears to be on his way to Inter Milan.
According to Calciomercato, Inter and AS Roma are close to finding an agreement for the transfer of Nainggolan. It’ll likely be a players-plus-cash deal that sees him move to the San Siro.
Additionally, the Italian outlet note that Nainggolan is already house-hunting in Milan ahead of the potential move.
Chelsea would be better suited given Ruben Loftus-Cheek a proper opportunity to show what he can do, rather than potentially throwing money in the bin.
