Chelsea are thought to be one of several Premier League clubs interested in signing Inter Milan midfielder Matías Vecino.

Reinforcements in the middle of the park could fast become a priority for Chelsea this summer.

We’re not entirely convinced that Danny Drinkwater will be at the club next season, while Tiemoue Bakayoko and Ross Barkley are yet to prove they can be relied on.

Vecino could be the answer, and the Chelsea board are reportedly considering making a move to sign the Uruguayan.

According to Tuttosport, Inter are considering the possibility of selling Vecino this summer if the price is right.

The Italian publication believe that offers of £26.2M and above will be considered by Inter, with Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton all thought to be keen.

Chelsea have the financial firepower to brush aside both sides in the race to sign Vecino. Could he be Maurizio Sarri’s first signing as manager?
