Chelsea are reportedly planning to use Tiemoue Bakayoko as a makeweight to sign AC Milan winger Suso.
Suso, formerly of Liverpool, was unable to establish himself as a first-team player at Anfield. His time in Italy has been far more successful, hence reported interest from Chelsea.
Maurizio Sarri doesn’t look to have any use for Bakayoko. We would be surprised to see him in a Chelsea shirt again, especially with Calciomercato publishing this new information.
The Italian outlet claim that Bakayoko could be used as part of a player plus cash deal proposed by Chelsea for Spanish forward Suso.
For Milan to have the remotest interest in making this deal happen, Bakayoko’s performances will have to improve significantly.
Manager Gennaro Gattuso does not appear to have been particularly impressed with what he’s seen from the Frenchman thus far.
If he’s training in the lacklustre manner that we saw on the field of play last season, we’re not surprised in the slightest.
