Gonzalo Higuain and Daniele Rugani are reportedly edging closer to becoming Chelsea players.
The pair have been linked with Chelsea over the past few weeks. Our interest in them has coincided with reports that Maurizio Sarri is set to replace Antonio Conte as manager.
Sarri worked with the pair previously at Napoli and Empoli respectively. He appears keen on a summer reunion, but Chelsea will have to break the bank in order to get the deals done.
Gazzetta dello Sport report that Sarri closing in on his move to Chelsea has also increased the probability of Higuain and Rugani’s moves also materialising.
The report claims that Chelsea are preparing to bid a combined €100M for the pair, which is money that Juventus could probably do with in their pursuit of Cristiano Ronaldo.
With under a month remaining of the transfer window, these are going be a hectic few weeks. Strap yourselves in and enjoy the ride!
