Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is reportedly keeping his options open amid interest from some of Europe’s top clubs – including Chelsea!

Milinkovic-Savic could have used the World Cup in Russia as a springboard for a move to a top club, but he struggled to impress for Serbia.

Though his performances at the World Cup were not a fair reflection of his quality, they may have led to clubs’ reluctance to meet Lazio’s heavily inflated valuation.

While the transfer window remains open, anything can happen. Milinkovic-Savic is well aware of this, and is holding off on penning a new Lazio deal.

That’s according to TMW, who claim that a €3M-a-year contract is on the table in Rome, but the player is waiting to see if any other club comes in for him.

At this stage, it’s unlikely that Chelsea will get involved in the bidding. Stranger things have happened, though – let’s wait and see.
