One might think that, with just two weeks until the season starts now, and the full squad working under Alonso, this would mean the end of the rumours about his future. Sadly, it’s quite the opposite. It seems that things are about to be ramped up big time. Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano’s update from last night show there’s plenty of action still to come.
Enzo knows Chelsea’s clear stance over his future
“If Chelsea can reduce the price for Enzo Fernandez in the next days, for Man City it could be a possibility. If it remains £120m, the deal can be considered complicated. It depends on numbers,” Romano said on his Youtube show last night.
He also claimed that Fernandez’s agent Javier Pastore had been in conversation with Chelsea to try and find a solution. The Blues, for their part, have made it clear that they don’t want this saga dragging on until deadline day. They told Enzo’s camp months ago – the price is £120m, and any team can take it or leave it.
They want a “quick resolution,” and Romano thinks we could know by the “end of this week” if there’s any chance of a move happening.
