Chelsea are one of several teams who have been offered the chance to sign Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale, according to Diario Gol.

Bale may no longer be considered the footballing superstar that he was when he made the world-record switch to Los Blancos. However, he is still one of the best players in his position in the world (and would walk straight into Chelsea’s starting eleven).

It’s for that reason that we struggle to contain our excitement when a player of the Welshman’s quality is linked with a move to Stamford Bridge. Regardless of the reliability of the source.

Spanish publication Diario Gol claim that Premier League trio Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have all been offered the chance to sign Bale this summer.

It’s thought that Real Madrid are demanding an eye-watering £104M in exchange for Bale. Is that a price you’d be prepared to pay, Blues?
