Former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique has informed Chelsea that he will only take over from Antonio Conte as manager if he is given guarantees in the transfer market, according to Don Balon (via the Express).

Antonio Conte’s Chelsea exit countdown clock appears to already be ticking down. Although he still has 18 months left on his contract with the Blues, his relationship with Marina Granovskaia appears to be beyond repair, and Chelsea’s season is in genuine danger of caving in on the Italian.

As per Don Balon, Luis Enrique, who won the treble during his time at the Nou Camp, is in the running to take over from Conte. However, it is claimed that he will only put pen-to-paper on a Chelsea contract if the board are prepared to meet his demands in the transfer market.

Don Balon claim that the first player Enrique would like to draft in, should he take the reins at the Bridge in the summer, is Borussia Dortmund attacker Marco Reus. Let’s keep an eye on this one…
