N’Golo Kante has heaped praise onto his French team-mate Kylian Mbappe, amid rumours that Chelsea have been plotting a record-breaking move for the youngster, report The Metro.
Mbappe has had a breakout season in France with AS Monaco, as he helped them to win Ligue 1 and reach the Champions League semi-finals.
Kante, who played alongside Mbappe for France in their 3-2 victory against England on Tuesday night, made sure to sing his praises of the 18-year-old and tipped him to have a big future. The Metro quote Kante, who says:
“I have had the opportunity to train with him and he is a great talent. He has done very well at Monaco and now he is doing the same with the national team in France. I hope he is going to have a good future.”
The French midfielder’s comments come amid a storm of rumours, linking Mbappe with big-money moves to many of Europe’s heavyweight clubs, including Real Madrid, Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea, per The Metro.
With Chelsea set to see Diego Costa leave the club, as The Independent report, Mbappe seems to be one name on head coach Antonio Conte’s shopping list this summer.
