Real Madrid will turn their attentions to Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois if they fail in their attempts to sign Manchester United’s David de Gea, according to the Daily Mail.
The Daily Mail believe that Jose Mourinho is willing to part with de Gea this summer if Los Blancos, or any other potential suitors, meet Man United’s asking price. The tabloid believe that the price-tag on the Spaniard’s head stands at a whopping £80million.
The Daily Mail report that player-plus-cash deals for any of Alvaro Morata, Raphael Varane and James Rodriguez may also materialise.
However, Real Madrid appear to have lined up a plan B in case they fail in their pursuit of de Gea. According to the Daily Mail, the European champions will move for Chelsea’s Courtois if they are unable to recruit de Gea.
Courtois won the Premier League Golden Glove last term, which was testament to just how good he had been throughout the season. It doesn’t look as though he has any reason to leave Stamford Bridge, so let’s hope he stays put.
