Michy Batshuayi is back in action after recovering from an ankle fracture – and he’s fast shedding any rust!
It was unclear whether the Chelsea striker would even be heading to Russia this summer to compete in the World Cup after suffering a seemingly serious ankle injury against Schalke while playing for Borussia Dortmund.
However, aided by his youth, Batshuayi recovered quickly and was included in Roberto Martinez’s squad to compete in the competition. Following his electric form out on-loan with Dortmund, the former Everton boss will no doubt have been eager to take him with him.
Batshuayi justified his inclusion in Belgium’s squad with a superb assist for Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini against Egypt. During a game in which Eden Hazard scored, Batshuayi staked his own claim for a starting role by assisting Fellaini after pulling off a superb piece of skill.
Have a look at this. Should he be given a chance to impress at Stamford Bridge next term?
