(Video) Eden Hazard makes World Cup history with goal for Belgum vs. Tunisia

Chelsea talisman scored his first ever World Cup finals goal for Belgium from the penalty spot against Tunisia.

Hazard headed into the tournament with The Red Devils being considered one of the favourites to win the competition. He, alongside Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne, are the start men on the team, with Eden wearing the armband.

He stepped up to the mark to take responsibility from the penalty spot for his country in their second group game of this summer’s World Cup against Tunisia, the highest-ranked African side in the competition.

As he usually does, Hazard kept his cool and slotted the ball into the bottom corner of the goal. Let’s hope he kicks on from here and scores a few more before the competition’s end!

Hazard’s goal made it 27-games consecutive in the World Cup without there being a single 0-0 draw, as Gary Lineker revealed on Twitter. That’s a World Cup record! Well in, Eden!
