Andreas Christensen

Andreas Christensen has been an integral part of Antonio Conte’s plans this season and is set to be rewarded with a new contract at Chelsea, The Standard reports.

The centre-back has replaced the out of favour David Luiz and has been faultless since playing more games for the Blues.

At just 21-years-old, Christensen is likely to sign a long-term contract. This would show his commitment to the club and a message to those at the club’s academy.

A deserved new contract

Chelsea’s Andreas Christensen spent two years out on loan with German club Borussia Monchengladbach.

The Dane has already caught the eye of many at the club. Since joining Chelsea in 2012 from Brondby, the likes of John Terry were already aware of Christensen’s potential.

The centre-back has brought a matured and professional outlook to our defence this season. Christensen really is the perfect example for those that can’t get into the Chelsea fold.
