Chelsea bad-boy Kenedy is in line to make his first start of the season against Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night, according to the Telegraph.
The Telegraph report that Kenedy’s Chelsea career could have come to an end over the summer after he was sent home from the club’s pre-season tour of China after posting several inappropriate messages on his Instagram account.
However, Kenedy was not shipped off by the Premier League champions during the summer transfer window and has been training with Antonio Conte’s men since the start of the 2017/18 campaign. If the Telegraph are to be believed, he is set to be rewarded for his hard work over the past few months.
Antonio Conte has given a major indication that Kenedy is set to feature against Nottingham Forest during his pre-match press conference. The Telegraph quote the Chelsea boss, who says:
“It could be a good opportunity for Charly (Musonda) and also for Kenedy. It’s the same.”
Conte went on to discuss the China controversy that saw Kenedy chopped from our pre-season tour. The Italian believes that he deserves a second chance – as the Telegraph report:
“I think he knows very well what happened in China. For sure, he made a mistake. But I think that everyone in their life can make a mistake.”
