Callum Hudson-Odoi is reportedly set to reject a contract offer worth £85K-a-week from Chelsea in favour of pursuing his dream move to Bayern Munich.
Whether Callum Hudson-Odoi will commit his future to Chelsea football club, or decide to move to Germany this winter or in the summer, has been on the mind of every Chelsea fan throughout this month. It’s safe to say his future at this current time is looking uncertain.
Hudson-Odoi has been offered hope of making it at Chelsea by Maurizio Sarri. He started him in consecutive fixtures against Nottingham Forest and Tottenham, but decided to send him back to the substitutes bench for the two games after against Newcastle and Arsenal.
Hudson-Odoi is desperate to play football, and a token start every now and then will not be enough to convince him that Chelsea is the right place to play his football. He has never looked to be driven by money, and we now have even further evidence of that.
According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea were prepared to pay Hudson-Odoi £85K-a-week in hope of convincing him to make a U-turn on his future and remain at the Bridge. However, it’s claimed that he will snub that offer in hope of pushing through a move to Bayern.
Whether Chelsea would allow him to leave this month is unclear, we are yet to show any willingness of cashing in. As much as it pains us to say it, though, if his desire really is to leave the club and seek greener pastures, it would be unethical of us to deny him of that.
