The end of the season couldn’t come sooner for Chelsea as the Blues were once again denied a victory in the Premier League.
West Ham were the opposition this time as the East-Londoners denied Antonio Conte’s men at Stamford Bridge.
In what was a close encounter, Chelsea deservedly took the lead as Cesar Azpilicueta well-worked strike was too good for Joe Hart.
However, the former-Manchester City goalkeeper pulled off some spectacular saves, especially in the second half.
As the visitors kept themselves in the game, Chelsea got more aggravated with failing to give ourselves breathing space.
The Hammers got their equaliser out of nothing as Thibaut Courtois did nothing but pick the ball out of the net after Javier Hernandez’s super finish.
It was end to end action in the latter stages but Hart’s resilience kept Chelsea at bay, thankfully our defence did just about enough to stop David Moyes’ side from getting the winner.
This draw all but ends any hope of last season’s champions finishing in the top four in what’s been an aggravating campaign for the club.
It’s no surprise that with all these poor performances and results, next season seems to be the most talked about discussion among Chelsea fans.
These are our Chelsea player ratings in the 1-1 draw with West Ham:
Courtois 4, Azpilicueta 6, Cahill 5, Rudiger 5, Alonso 5, Kante 7, Fabregas 5, Moses 3, Hazard 4, Willian 6, Morata 5. Subs: Pedro 5, Giroud 5
