Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has been named in the Ballon D’Or nominee list earlier today.
Kante was instrumental in our title winning season as he went on to win the PFA player of the season.
The 26-year-old is one of the first five names of the 30-man shortlist.

The Frenchman is joined by Paris Saint-Germain’s Neymar, Juventus’ Paulo Dybala and Real Madrid pair Luka Modric and Marcelo, as revealed on the France Football Twitter account.
Kante will be upbeat with this news after suffering a hamstring injury against Bulgaria on international duty. Potentially ruling him out of the match against Crystal Palace.
But the midfielder has time to reflect on what has been a revolutionary time in England since joining Leicester City in 2015.
Kante’s ability to win possession back and play with fantastic energy has seen him been compared to Blues legend Claude Makelele.
Based on his performances last season, Kante deserves to be in this list for this individual honour.
