Chelsea’s clash with Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup third round this afternoon could provide Maurizio Sarri to get his squad back up to working order.
The Blues were hit with injury after injury over the festive period, leaving Sarri with selection headaches through the midfield and into attack – but no longer.
With Chelsea expected to breeze past Forest and into the fourth round, Sarri will no doubt be rotating his side and allowing those with niggles get back to full fitness.
There are four first-team players who likely won’t be risked, according to Physio Room, especially with Chelsea facing Tottenham at Wembley midweek.
They are Mateo Kovacic, Willian, Olivier Giroud and Pedro. Their injuries are not serious, but it’s unlikely that they’ll be risked for this one.
Callum Hudson-Odoi was back in full training this week and looks set to start this afternoon. We can’t wait! Make sure you follow our match coverage @TalkChelsea.
