It’s the big one. The game we’ve all been waiting for. Clash of the titans, one could say. Chelsea, against PAOK.
Our Europa League campaign is set to get underway. Crack open the bubbly and enjoy the spectacle.
PAOK shouldn’t be too tough a test for Maurizio Sarri’s men, even if the Italian is likely to field a considerably weaker side than usual.
We think it likely that he’ll make use of his large squad to give some of Chelsea’s key players a rest, but he does have a few injury issues to contend with.
As per Physio Room, Cesc Fabregas and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are set to return, but both Emerson Palmieri and Mateo Kovacic remain sidelined.
Kovacic limped off during our victory over Cardiff City, while Emerson returned from international duty with some form of sickness.
If they miss out on this one, we can only hope that they’ll be fit and available to take on West Ham United at the weekend.
