Chelsea suffered a major injury blow during our 2-1 Carabao Cup semi-final defeat at the hands of Arsenal at the Emirates.

The Blues went into the contest knowing that a win on the night was all that it would take to setup a clash with Manchester City at Wembley next month. However, after a stale second-half the Premier League champions fell to defeat against the Gunners, largely thanks to the complete misfortune of Antonio Rudiger.

After a bright start, Chelsea looked disjointed and lacklustre after Willian was replaced by new signing Ross Barkley midway through the first-half. The Brazilian has been in superb form in recent weeks, and Barkley is some way from full fitness.

Willian was forced to leave the field of play after appearing to injure his hamstring. It was clear immediately that he would not be able to continue. Let’s hope that it’s nothing too serious as we’ll need him fitĀ  and firing for our, already daunting, clash with Barcelona in the Champions League.
