Chelsea likely XI v Sheffield Wednesday: Higuain to get his debut, no Hudson-Odoi

Chelsea host Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup fourth round this evening, and we’ve taken a punt at predicting how we could lineup for the game.

Deciding who was going to be involved in this one should’ve been a lot more straightforward than it has turned out to be. As mentioned in our injury report, Andreas Christensen and Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s fitness is yet to be fully determined.

Not only that, but Callum Hudson-Odoi, another who was expected to start this game, has reportedly handed in a transfer request. If the media have got this one right, there would be little sense in Maurizio Sarri giving him any minutes today. It’d be pointless.

One man who should be involved is January loan signing Gonzalo Higuain. He wasn’t registered in time to face Tottenham midweek, but we’d be surprised if Sarri didn’t give him his first start in a Chelsea shirt today. Sheffield Wednesday ought to be very afraid.

Here’s how we predict that Chelsea will lineup in full for today’s game. Let us know your thoughts on it on Twitter @TalkChelsea, where you can also follow our full coverage of the game this evening. COME ON YOU BLUES!
