Alvaro Morata is delighted with the connection he has struck up with compariot Cesar Azpilicueta since joining Chelsea, the club’s official website reports.
Morata scored his 10th league goal this season as he headed home another cross from Azpilicueta in the 2-0 win against Brighton.
Chelsea have struggled to find the route to goal recently but this partnership has been relentless. When speaking to chelseafc.com, the big-money summer signing commended Azpilicuet’s influence on the team.
Morata spoke to the club’s official website saying:
“It’s great to be playing here at Chelsea and playing with Cesar. He is an exceptional person and an exceptional player”
This partnership continues to blossom
Not many defences in the Premier League have been able to deal with an Azpilicueta cross to Morata’s head.
This move may start to become predicatable but it’s helped propel Chelsea’s position in the Premier League table.
Hopefully Morata will continue to try and find new ways to score goals in order to build on what has been a great start to life at Chelsea.
