Here’s some exciting news…

According to Sky Sports, Chelsea academy product Ruben Loftus-Cheek will earn his first cap for the England senior side against Germany on Friday, with Gareth Southgate set to start the 21-year-old against the world champions.

Loftus-Cheek was shipped out on loan by the Premier League champions in the summer transfer window. There will likely have been no shortage of interest in securing his services on a temporary basis, but it was Crystal Palace’s whose pursuit proved fruitful.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been in fine form for Crystal Palace, and Gareth Southgate.

He has had the opportunity to showcase his talent at Selhurst Park, and his good performances have not gone unnoticed in the England camp. As per Sky Sports, he’s not set to receive the ultimate honour of being capped for his country.

Are you watching, Antonio Conte?

Conte keeping Loftus-Cheek as part of his squad last term was a demonstration of his faith in the youngster, but he opted against giving him any considerable game-time.
