Maurizio Sarri

Maurizio Sarri has three injury problems to contend with ahead of Chelsea’s clash with Crystal Palace this weekend.

Premier League title assaults are often won and lost depending on the fitness of the star players belonging to the teams involved. We’ll be hoping to avoid having our campaign derailed by matters out of our control.

If Eden Hazard was sidelined for any prolonged period of time, we’d be in trouble. The Belgian suffered a back injury against Manchester United and hasn’t been seen since – but he appears set to return against Palace.

Physio Room report that Hazard should be fit to feature against Roy Hodgson’s side, though it’s unclear at this stage whether he will be fit to play from the beginning.

Olivier Giroud is also thought to be struggling with muscle fatigue. As a result, he could miss out on this one. Alvaro Morata looks set to be given another opportunity to impress Sarri by finding the back of the net – let’s hope he takes it.

The only other injury to note is Ethan Ampadu, who suffered an ankle injury while on international duty with Wales. Ampadu faced Arsenal with our development team earlier today. He’ll be back in the mix soon.
