There’s not much to talk about in our injury report ahead of Chelsea’s clash with Fulham at Stamford Bridge tomorrow afternoon.
Oftentimes we’d sit here and bemoan the amount of players we have unavailable for an upcoming game, but that’s not the case today. According to Physio Room, there’s only two players with problems ahead of tomorrow’s derby, and neither of them would have been involved in the game regardless of their availability.
The two players set to miss out are midfielders Danny Drinkwater and Marco Van Ginkel. Drinkwater has a tendon injury, but has not been used by Maurizio Sarri since pre-season, even when fit. Van Ginkel has been added to our Premier League squad list, but he’s yet to complete his recovery from a serious knee injury.
Everyone else is fit and available, which is excellent news. Only three points will do in our quest to secure Champions League football for next season. If the boys are able to produce anything like the performances they put in against Manchester City and Tottenham, tomorrow ought to be rather straightforward. Let’s hope.
