Chelsea winger Eden Hazard faces an uphill challenge to be involved in Belgium’s final group game against England.
Hazard was instrumental for his country during their thrashing of Tunisia last week. He scored his first two World Cup goals against Africa’s highest-ranked side, meaning he has directly contributed to three goals in two appearances for The Red Devils in Russia.
However, his World Cup campaign threatens to hit a bump in the road in the shape of Roberto Martinez’s anxiety. The former Everton boss may not risk Hazard in the final group game against the country in which he resides, England.
That’s according to the Telegraph, who claim that Martinez may shuffle his pack in order to keep his side fresh for the knockout stages of the competition. Former Blue Kevin De Bruyne may also be left out.
If you’re an England fan, this is great news. For Hazard, though, it’d be a frustrating watch from the sidelines if he wasn’t included in the starting lineup this Thursday.
