Antonio Conte has, at times, struggled to make friends during his time at Chelsea.
It’s a widely accepted fact that Conte has fallen out with members of the club’s board, including the influential Marina Granovskaia. Additionally, his combative nature has seen rifts appear between himself and his players.
The first was Diego Costa, who eventually put pen-to-paper on a return to Atletico Madrid. Then came David Luiz, who was initially frozen out by Conte before suffering a seemingly season-ending ankle injury.
Now there is another name in the mix, and this one threatens to really upset Chelsea fans – Willian. Our Players’ Player of the Year does not appear to be too happy with Conte, who likes to rotate him in and out of the side.
ESPN report that former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has been sniffing around Willian ahead of a potential summer move. Judging by these latest comments, the Brazilian may well be interested in making the switch to Manchester United.
ESPN Brasil quizzed Willian about his relationship with Conte. It’s safe to say that his reply didn’t exactly hint at a loving companionship:
“Oh boy, do you really want me to tell you? Let’s save that one for the next interview.”
There’s question marks over the futures of both Willian and Conte. We don’t imagine that both will be here come the start of next season.
Which side are you on, Blues?
